Plastic Surgery: Strike While Your Schedule is Cold!

Many of us in the field of plastic surgery and cosmetic procedures were expecting a huge downturn during the Covid lockdown period. After a time, however, we found that a lot of ople were taking advantage of all that alone time by getting plastic surgeries, especially those with substantial recovery time.

Plastic Surgery Now, we have strikes that have ground much of the entertainment industry to a standstill – impacting everything from catering and restaurants to legal and CPA firms. While this may be less serious than a pandemic, economically speaking it could be even harder on the Southern California economy for as long as it lasts. Covid slowed things down tremendously but protocols emerged over time that made it possible to complete television and film productions safely. Physicians and later the film industry found that there were ways to work safely during a pandemic. The whole point of a strike is to grind business to a complete standstill, however, and the only way to fix the situation is to settle the disagreements but, this time, the issues are more complicated than ever.

So, what to do with all of that time? Naturally, plastic surgeons on both coasts are getting more phone calls from people who are curious about making the best of the situation by getting plastic surgery during the enforced break.

Take the Golden Downtime Opportunity!

Many providers like to talk about so-called “lunchtime” procedures such as Botox that involve zero downtime. Beverly Hills Physicians proudly offers these procedures and now is as good as any to get them. At the same time, these procedures have temporary effects that require regular touching up. Plastic surgery produces outcomes that last indefinitely, but recovery times are always a factor. While all our outstanding plastic surgeons do whatever they can to shorten downtime following surgery, now may be the best opportunity you’ll have in years to get a procedure while missing out on very little.

Some of the best procedures during an enforced break might include:

  • Brazilian Butt Lift(Buttock Augmentation)
  • Tummy Tuck
  • Breast augmentation
  • Breast Lifts
  • Mommy Makeover (typically including a combination of a tummy tuck and breast surgery)
  • Arm and Leg Lifts

All of these procedures involve approximately one to three or four weeks of recovery time and a longer period before patients can safely perform strenuous activity and enjoy the full outcomes of their procedures.

What About Facial Procedures?

While the physical downtime for such popular procedures as facelifts, eyelid lifts (blepharoplasty), and rhinoplasty (nose jobs) is shorter since they involve a much smaller area of the body, it often is a matter of weeks before healing has progressed to the point that any bruising and/or swelling has disappeared and the full esthetic impact of the procedure is apparent.

Thus, an enforced break may be a golden opportunity for anyone who would prefer to keep a low profile until they are ready to meet the world looking their very best.
