Breast Cancer Awareness Month and our Fall Bra Collection Drive

It’s time to highlight our bra collection drive in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  We are accepting both new and gently used bras for redistribution to women in need at our main locations. Anyone who has bras they would like to donate can do so by dropping them in collection boxes located at our offices in Beverly Hills, Carson, Encino, Rancho Cucamonga, and Thousand Oaks. Donations may be made during regular office hours.

The drive is part of our ongoing commitment to helping all kinds of people feel comfortable and confident in their appearance. Breast cancer reconstruction surgery has a long track record of success in helping survivors to recover and return to a full and active life. It’s also important for women to know that medical insurers that cover breast cancer treatment are currently legally mandated to also cover reconstructive procedures.

These procedures are among the many treatments provided by plastic surgeons that go against the stereotype of plastic surgeries being strictly for fashion models and starlets. Breast reductions, for example, are sometimes obtained for mostly cosmetic reasons but, more often, there are other motivations. Specifically, many women get them to help deal with back pain caused by having oversize breasts or to be able to fully participate in their favorite sports. Finally, younger women especially may want more standard-size breasts in order to avoid unwanted additional attention, says the medical group.

If you have any questions about breast reconstruction or reductions, or the bra collection drive, feel free to call us at the phone number at the top of the page.
